About Me
Alex Braud (b. 1993) is a percussionist and educator based from Kansas City, MO and is a graduate student at Lamar University (Beaumont, TX), studying Percussion Performance with Dr. Francisco Perez. Currently, he serves as the Front Ensemble Coordinator for Compass Drum and Bugle Corps (Midland, TX). Previously, Alex was the Assistant Director of Bands/Director of Percussion at Howe High School (Howe, TX) and has taught drumlines and private lessons across Missouri and Texas.

Alex Braud's background in percussion ranges from orchestral percussion, to jazz drums, to performance in the marching arts.

As a performer in the marching arts, he has been a member of the Oregon Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps and Gateway Indoor. Alex has also played with a variety of ensembles including the NorthWinds Symphonic Band, Philharmonia of Greater Kansas City, and the Sherman (TX) Symphony Orchestra. He has also played on the Chiefs Rumble Drumline. Alex is an Artifact Percussion Artist.

At Howe, Alex teaches all percussion classes for grades 5-12, including beginner percussion, middle/high school percussion ensemble, and the Pride of Howe Drumline. He has also taught at several high schools in the North Texas, Kansas City, and central Missouri areas, including Van Alstyne High School, Smith-Cotton High School, and Pleasant Hill High School. He has also been on the administrative staff of the Oregon Crusaders and was a counselor at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp.
